Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Junior Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing frontline support to our users, maintaining our IT infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our systems. Key Responsibilities

User Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to end-users via help desk tickets, email, chat, and in-person.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows, macOS, and/or Linux) and application software.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory/Azure AD.

System Maintenance & Monitoring

  • Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including patch management and system updates.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and health using established tools.
  • Assist with the management of corporate user devices using MDM solutions like Intune or Jamf.
  • Help maintain and support core services such as email (Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace), file shares, and backups.

Infrastructure & Network Support

  • Assist Senior Administrators with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of servers (physical and virtual).
  • Provide basic network support, including troubleshooting connectivity issues for wired and wireless networks.
  • Help manage and maintain VoIP phone systems and video conferencing tools (e.g., Teams, Zoom).


Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a technical support or system administration role.
  • Fundamental understanding of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft 365 administration (user creation, license assignment).
  • Familiarity with core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • A proactive and customer-service-oriented mindset.
