About the Role

Junior Software Tester

Key Responsibilities

Understand project requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Create, maintain, and execute
test cases, test plans, and test scripts
.
Perform
manual testing
for functionality, regression, usability, and compatibility.
Assist in designing and executing
automation test scripts
using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
Identify, document, and track
bugs/defects
in tools like JIRA, MS Planner or similar.
Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to resolve issues.
Perform
smoke, regression, and UAT support testing
.
Ensure test coverage for new and existing features.
Contribute to improving QA processes, tools, and methodologies.

Must-Have Skills

1–2 years of experience in
manual testing
of web and/or mobile applications.
Hands-on exposure to
automation testing
(Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent).
Good understanding of
SDLC and STLC
.
Experience in writing
clear and concise test cases, bug reports, and documentation
.
Familiarity with
defect tracking tools
(JIRA, Bugzilla, Trello, etc.).
Basic knowledge of
SQL
for database validation.
Understanding of
API testing
(Postman, REST Assured is a plus).
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Knowledge of
CI/CD pipelines
and test automation integration.
Familiarity with
Agile/Scrum methodologies
.
Experience in
performance testing
(e.g., JMeter, k6).
Exposure to
version control systems
like Git/GitHub.
