Job Description

Position Overview: The Junior Designer is an entry-level position responsible for assisting in the development of mechanical and product designs using CAD software. This role supports the Senior Designer and contributes to ongoing projects by producing detailed drawings, assisting in prototype development, and ensuring design accuracy. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and revise 2D/3D CAD drawings for mechanical components and product layouts. • Assist in the design and development of new products, fixtures, or components as directed by senior. • Ensure that all designs comply with relevant industry standards, specifications, and internal quality requirements. • Collaborate with production, quality, and procurement teams to understand practical requirements and implement feasible solutions. • Maintain and manage drawing documentation including revisions and version control. • Participate in design review meetings and suggest improvements or optimizations. • Perform basic engineering calculations such as tolerances, load factors, and dimensions. • Assist in prototype development and documentation of test results. • Support the resolution of design-related issues arising during production or client feedback. Required Skills & Competencies: • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks. ( Mandatory ) • Fundamental understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes. • Ability to interpret and create technical drawings and schematics. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work. • Excellent collaboration and communication skills. • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. • Time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Tools & Software:AutoCAD 2024, SolidWorks . Exposure to ERP systems is a plus. Education & Experience: • B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or equivalent. • 0–1 years of experience in a manufacturing or product design role. • Internship experience with a design/manufacturing team is desirable. Work Environment & Conditions: • Full-time, 6-day working week. • Based at the Bommasandra manufacturing unit with occasional visits to the shop floor. • May involve extended hours based on project urgency or delivery deadlines.
