About the Role

The Junior Copywriter is the agency’s storyteller-in-training, crafting clear, engaging, and search-friendly copy for brands across industries. You’ll write long-form (blogs, articles, webpages ≈ 60 %), mid-form (emails, case studies ≈ 20 %), and short-form (social posts, ads ≈ 20 %) content that aligns with brand tone, SEO principles, and campaign objectives. This role bridges creativity with digital performance, collaborating closely with Art Directors, Designers, Account Managers, SEO and Content Strategists.


Key Responsibilities

• Write compelling copy for blogs, landing pages, and website sections optimized for search intent and readability.

• Develop copy for campaign ideas, social posts, paid ads, and marketing emails that reflect each brand’s voice.

• Collaborate with creative and strategy teams to align messaging with brand and platform objectives.

• Support concept ideation and script writing for digital videos and short-form campaigns.

• Integrate keyword strategies and on-page SEO best practices within all written content.

• Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Jasper, Copy.ai, etc.) for ideation, outlines, and tone testing.

• Participate in brainstorming sessions, content reviews, and campaign planning.

• Proofread deliverables for grammar, flow, and brand consistency before submission.


Required Skills & Expertise

  • Copywriting Fundamentals : Strong grasp of grammar, structure, and storytelling.
  • Digital Writing & SEO : Understanding of keyword intent, meta tags, headers, and link strategy.
  • Tone Adaptation : Ability to switch tone across brands and platforms.
  • Collaboration : Comfortable working with art, SEO, and account teams.
  • Tools & Software : Google Docs, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Canva (for text layout), ChatGPT / AI assistants.
  • Time Management : Ability to handle multiple briefs and meet tight deadlines.


Good-to-Have Skills

• Basic understanding of paid media and content funnels.

• Familiarity with WordPress / CMS environments.

• Knowledge of analytics dashboards (GA4, Search Console) to assess content impact.

• Exposure to writing for diverse sectors such as BFSI, IT/ITES, Lifestyle, Healthcare, and FMCG.


KPIs / Success Metrics

  • Content Quality : Brand-tone adherence, readability score > 70 (Flesch).
  • SEO Impact : Improvement in keyword ranking / organic CTR for published pages.
  • Productivity : % of projects delivered on time and error-free.
  • Collaboration Score : Feedback from Art / SEO / AM teams.
  • Learning Progress : New tools or formats mastered per quarter.


Education & Background

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Mass Communication, Marketing, or Journalism.

• 1–3 years of experience in digital copywriting, content writing, or agency copy.
