Purpose - Why does this role exist?

Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators).

• Providing with advice and guidance on tax planning and compliance matters related to Indirect taxes.
• Assistance to team for finalizing the tax computation and filing the returns.
• Litigation management handling departmental queries, audits, investigations.
• Providing replies to Show Cause notices, drafting of appeals, representing before the Appellate Commissioners, assisting advocates for finalization of WRITs, preparing briefs for Sr. Advocates etc.
• Liaising with Consultants and Advocates for addressing the indirect tax notices.
• Updating and Monitoring MIS for on-going indirect tax cases.
• Analyzing and interpreting tax laws and regulations, and keeping up-to-date with changes and developments in tax legislation.
• Providing support and guidance to junior team members on tax matters.
• Must have good drafting skills.
• Responsible for reviewing of GST Annual returns.

• Compliances of company's policies, procedures and Implementation in the system.
