Jr QA Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance (QA) Professional to help ensure the reliability, functionality, and overall quality of our web and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, implement, and manage test scenarios and test plans derived from both technical specifications and business needs.
• Conduct various types of testing—functional, regression, exploratory, and usability—across web and mobile platforms.
• Log and monitor bugs or issues using tools such as JIRA, Trello, or other tracking systems.
• Work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to ensure optimal product quality.
• Validate bug resolutions and verify deployments during release phases.
• Offer constructive input on UI/UX design, application performance, and overall usability.
• Maintain comprehensive testing documentation and suggest improvements to QA workflows.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Technical Competencies:

• At least 1 year of experience in manual testing, ideally within SaaS or web-based application environments.
• Solid grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Hands-on experience with exploratory, regression, usability, and functional testing for web and mobile platforms.
• Skilled in using tools like JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent for bug tracking and test case management.
• Capable of writing and executing comprehensive test cases and documenting defects clearly.
• Basic proficiency in SQL for performing data verification.
• Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman.
• Knowledge of responsive and cross-browser testing techniques.
• Able to develop structured test plans, execute them effectively, and prepare detailed test reports.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices and participation in iterative development cycles.
• Experience in assessing UI/UX and providing actionable usability suggestions.
