Jr. Accountant

Key duties include reconciling bank statements, processing expense claims, assisting with payroll, and helping with audits. They are responsible for ensuring accurate financial data entry and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.  Core responsibilities Manage accounts payable and receivable: Process vendor invoices, handle customer billing, and manage payments.  Process financial transactions: Record financial data, update ledgers, and process expense claims and reimbursement forms.  Perform bank reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.  Assist with payroll: Support the payroll process by verifying hours and data.  Maintain financial records: Organize and maintain both digital and physical financial records and files.  Generate financial documents: Create and update financial documents, including invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders.  Assist with audits: Help with quarterly and annual audits by providing necessary documentation and information.  Handle inquiries: Respond to inquiries from clients, vendors, and internal staff regarding financial matters.  Required skills and qualifications Experience: Previous experience as an Accounting Assistant or in a similar role is often required. Education: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Technical skills: Proficiency with accounting software (like QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel is essential. Attention to detail: Strong math skills and a high level of accuracy are crucial for spotting errors and ensuring data integrity. Organizational skills: Excellent time management and organizational abilities are needed to handle multiple tasks effectively. Confidentiality: The ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion is important.
