Customer & Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for all mechanical design-related issues for both internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers. Participate in client meetings to review design progress, discuss changes, and address technical challenges. Required Skills & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is a plus. Experience: 8-10 years of experience in mechanical design engineering Head, with at least 8 years in a leadership or managerial role in the Steel Metal Industry with Complex Designs. Extensive experience with AutoCAD (both 2D & 3D), and proficiency in other design and simulation software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) is desirable. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials science, and steel industry-specific equipment. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including motors, drives, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and material handling equipment. Experience with design analysis tools such as FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and simulation software is a significant advantage. Familiarity with industry standards (ISO, ASME, ASTM) and safety regulations. Management & Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and lead a team of engineers. Proven ability to manage large, complex projects, including resource allocation, budgeting, and risk management.
