Job Overview We are seeking a Senior Corrosion Engineer to join our team in Jamnagar on a full-time basis. This role is integral to maintaining our commitment to innovative solutions in the Oil and Gas sector. The successful candidate will have expertise in corrosion prevention, testing, and related chemical engineering practices. Your contribution will support the integrity and longevity of our installations, crucial to our business's continuous growth and leadership. Job Accountabilities Aid the head of the department in developing a set of objectives for the department in line with the entity business objectives and to maximize availability and reliability of fixed equipment at site. Assess and list the training and development needs of the inspection engineers and enable conformance. Ensure that all activities of the department are carried out safely with the help of procedures developed in accordance with codes, standards and RAGAGEP's. Ensure that all inspection records are in systems like SAP and Meridium etc. Participate in inter departmental reliability assurance activities like TRIPOD, Plant interface meetings etc. to monitor and implement the recommendations arising out of various activities. Review of all inspection reports and recommendations prior to release. Review of pending inspection of equipment and liaise with operations / maintenance for completing the same. Review concession / deviation exercise for all pending equipment and conform compliance to procedure. Review of all special and critical / hazards maintenance activities like on line sealing, hot tapping etc. to ensure that they are safe to execute and will not hamper the integrity Review of all concessions / deviations to established practices and procedures and recommend mitigation. Conduct root cause analysis of various failures in fixed equipment, generate report and provide recommendations Participate in RBI study for the plants identified in the objective. Liaise with statutory authorities. Ensure statutory compliance with respect to static equipment Detailed Planning for Major Shutdown activities and execution of Major overhauls Support HR practices of performance rating and feedback to direct reportee's. Evaluate contractor's performance and Administer contracts as applicable. Conduct vendor assessments for supply of fixed equipment spares and consumables and assure quality of supply Skills Demonstrate operating discipline and leadership qualities that will promote strong adherence to good values and behaviours by the whole team Analytical thinking Very good oral and written communication skills in English, report writing, presentation skills Good Knowledge of (a) design of fixed equipment (b) relevant design codes and standards (c) maintenance systems and practices of refinery/petrochemical units (d) maintenance, repairs, fitness for purposes and alteration codes Basic understanding of operations of typical refinery/petrochemical/utilities. Good knowledge of materials and metallurgy and its application to fixed equipment's of refinery, petrochemical and utilities Qualification & Experience BE/ME in Mechanical engineering or Metallurgical engineering Valid certification in ASNT /ISNT Level II in at least two techniques MPI / UT / RT Training in Root cause analysis will be considered as a strong qualification Certification in at least two API standards 510 / 570 / 653.
