Location: Bhiwandi, District Thane, Maharashtra Experience: 4 to 10 years Industry: Electrical Panel Manufacturing Role & responsibilities Design and develop panel enclosures (LT/MV) including sheet metal structures , covers, and compartments using AutoCAD and SolidWorks . Prepare detailed fabrication drawings , GA drawings , sectional views , and Bill of Materials (BOM) . Design and layout of busbar chambers , supports, and ducting considering current rating, thermal limits, clearances, and mechanical strength. Ensure busbar design meets short circuit and thermal withstand requirements; coordinate with electrical teams for sizing and layout. Select and position cutouts for switchgear components such as breakers, relays, meters, and control devices. Apply standards such as IS/IEC/IEEE in the design of mechanical and busbar systems. Coordinate with the electrical design , production , purchase , and quality control teams for smooth workflow. Optimize design for ease of manufacturing , cost-efficiency , and assembly line compatibility . Conduct design validation , risk assessments , and manage design change requests (DCRs) . Ensure proper documentation of all design files, revisions, and approvals. Preferred candidate profile Technical Skills Required: Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for 2D & 3D modeling and drafting. Strong knowledge of sheet metal design , fabrication, and panel assembly. Proficient in sheet metal design and busbar design , including bend allowances, structural supports, and routing. Knowledge of heat dissipation , clearance and creepage , and mechanical tolerances . Familiarity with IP ratings , ventilation , earthing , and mechanical safety aspects. Experience in preparing BOMs and working with ERP systems for design integration. Ability to read and interpret electrical GA drawings for mechanical coordination. Soft Skills: Strong communication and team collaboration skills. Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability. Ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple design projects.
