Required Technical Skills: Installation, testing & commissioning of field instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level transmitters, analyzers, control valves, etc.) Reading and interpreting P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and hook-up drawings Knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and SCADA systems integration Supervision of cable laying, glanding, termination, and continuity/megger testing Familiarity with calibration procedures and tools for field instruments Understanding of instrument tray/cable routing, erection of junction boxes, marshalling panels, and local control panels Implementation of earthing & grounding systems for instrumentation Basic troubleshooting and fault-finding of instrumentation systems Working knowledge of construction quality control procedures and documentation Awareness of industry standards and codes (such as ISA, IEC, IS, API) relevant to instrumentation works Proficiency in preparing daily/weekly site reports, as-built mark-ups, and material reconciliation Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelors degree in Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline. 9-11 years of relevant experience in construction supervision at industrial project sites (preferably in chemical / process industries).
