By identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities, the successful candidate will contribute to the company's revenue targets while strengthening partnerships and maintaining a deep understanding of market dynamics. The ideal candidate will possess a solid technical background in chemical manufacturing, a keen business acumen, and a proven track record in strategic sales and relationship management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - 1. Identify Potential Markets and Opportunities: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and growth opportunities within the oil and gas industry. Analyze market dynamics, industry regulations, and competitive landscapes to develop targeted business strategies. 2. New Business Development: Build and foster strong relationships with key decision-makers, industry influencers, and potential clients. Generate leads, develop sales pipelines, and drive conversion of prospects into customers. Collaborate with the technical team to understand customer requirements and tailor solutions accordingly. 3. Sales and Account Management: Develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics to achieve revenue targets. Manage the complete sales cycle, including negotiation, proposal development, and contract signing. Proactively engage with existing clients to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities. 4. Strategic Partnerships: Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and collaborations to expand market reach and enhance the company's product offering. Negotiate and manage contract terms to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes. 5. Market Analysis and Competitor Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitive activities, and customer preferences to contribute to the company's product development roadmap. Conduct regular market analysis and competitor intelligence, providing insights and recommendations to senior management. 6. Marketing Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop impactful marketing campaigns, promotional materials, and sales collateral. Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to increase brand visibility and develop industry connections. Qualifications and Requirements: Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Business Administration, or a related field. A technical background with a strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably within the chemical manufacturing industry, specifically focusing on the oil and gas sector. Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the oil and gas industry , including its operations, supply chain, and key players. Familiarity with chemicals used in upstream, midstream, and downstream processes is highly desirable. Sales and Relationship Management: Proven success in driving business growth, achieving sales targets, and managing key accounts. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, and partners. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the capability to gather and interpret market data, identify trends, and make informed business decisions. As an Assistant Manager in the Supply Chain Department at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cost-effective procurement of materials. Your responsibilities will include evaluating the cost and quality of items, maintaining an uninterrupted flow of materials to support production, and procuring materials economically while ensuring quality and service standards are met. You will be responsible for negotiating with suppliers to achieve cost savings, managing transport contracts with clear terms and conditions, and conducting audits of job work sites and storage premises to assess material conditions. Additionally, you will be involved in developing a risk management approach towards the vendor pool, understanding the MSMS scheme, and standardizing the evaluation of replacement items for obsolete parts. Your role will also entail identifying critical spares, vendor development, and minimizing lead times to prevent stock out situations. You will be expected to procure stock items as per specifications, review technical specifications for accuracy, and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery. In terms of technical and functional expertise, you should possess sound knowledge of benchmark commercial functions, be able to estimate costs of various inputs to the final cost, and have proficiency in SAP systems and IMS. Knowledge of applicable statutory requirements, ISO standards, and a proactive approach to risk management are also essential for this role.
