Technical Java Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage
Java-based software development projects
from initiation to closure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including
developers, QA engineers, business analysts
, and
product owners
.
Drive
project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management
, and reporting.
Ensure adherence to
agile methodologies
, coding standards, and project governance.
Review technical solutions and provide guidance on
Java development best practices
.
Track project progress and report status to senior management and clients.
Manage client expectations and maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Mentor and guide Java development teams for
continuous improvement and upskilling
.

Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with
Java, Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Hibernate
Familiarity with
Microservices architecture
and
cloud platforms
(AWS/Azure/GCP) is preferred
Proficiency with
DevOps tools
like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes is an advantage
Experience with
database systems
such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL
Sound knowledge of
Agile tools
like JIRA, Confluence

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in
Computer Science
, Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of experience in
Java development
with at least 3+ years in a
project management
or
technical lead
role
PMP, CSM
, or equivalent
project management certification
is a plus
Excellent
leadership, communication
, and
interpersonal
skills

Preferred

Experience managing
onsite-offshore delivery models
Previous experience in
banking, fintech
, or
enterprise application
domains
Ability to manage
multiple projects simultaneously
