We are seeking a Jira Administrator with strong Azure Active Directory (AD) expertise to manage, configure, and optimize our Atlassian ecosystem while ensuring seamless identity and access management through Azure AD. This role bridges enterprise collaboration (Jira/Confluence) with secure identity governance (Azure AD) to drive productivity, compliance, and scalability.
• Administer and configure Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.
• Create and maintain custom workflows, schemes, screens, dashboards, and filters.
• Implement automation rules to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Manage Jira Service Desk portals, request types, and SLAs.
• Monitor system performance, carry out upgrades, and ensure high availability.
• Integrate Jira with other tools (GitHub, Bitbucket, Slack, Teams, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with data security, backup, and retention policies.
• Manage user lifecycle (provisioning, deprovisioning, role-based access control).
• Implement Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for Jira and related apps.
• Configure conditional access policies and security groups.
• Work with Engineering, Product, and IT teams to design efficient project structures.
• Partner with Security and Compliance teams for audit readiness.
• Support end-users with Jira and SSO issues and provide training.
• Document best practices, standards, and operational runbooks.
• 4+ years of experience in Jira administration (Data Center and/or Cloud).
• Strong expertise in Azure Active Directory, SSO, and RBAC.
• Hands-on experience with Atlassian Access and SCIM provisioning.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (Groovy, PowerShell, or Python).
• Understanding of ITSM, Agile, and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with REST APIs for Jira and Azure AD.
• Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator / Azure AD Certification.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow, Okta, or other IAM solutions.
• Experience in managing compliance-heavy environments (Healthcare, FinTech, Gov).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
