Job Requirements

We are looking for a skilled IVI System Engineer to drive end-to-end system engineering activities for automotive infotainment systems. The role spans requirements specification, system design, integration and verification & validation across IVI features. The engineer will collaborate closely with software, hardware, UX and vehicle feature teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer expectations

Experience - 3 – 6 Years

Education - B. Tech, B.E, MCA, BCA, Diploma in Computer Engineering\Electronics\Communication Engineering

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, analyze and manage system-level requirements for IVI platforms including functional, performance and interface specifications.
  • Translate customer and OEM requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.
  • Prepare the sequence flow and detailed specification of each functionality and define the inputs and outputs between IVI and other ECUs.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams for function alignment, spec clarifications, integration planning and issue resolution.
  • Conduct system level validation and verification activities, including execution and reporting.
  • Support integration of IVI systems with vehicle networks, diagnostics and other ECUs.
  • Participate in design reviews, requirement reviews and validation reviews with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards.
  • Document system specifications, test reports, and traceability matrices.

Work Experience

Primary Skills/Requirements

  • Deep Automotive Domain knowledge
  • Strong understanding of automotive IVI architecture, infotainment systems, and vehicle networks.
  • Strong expertise in requirement engineering, specification writing and traceability management.
  • Knowledge of HMI, multimedia, connectivity, Telematics and other vehicle features.
  • Intra and inter ECU communication knowledge.
  • Proficiency in CAN, LIN, Ethernet communication protocols and diagnostic standards (UDS, OBD-II).
  • Hands-on experience in creating UML diagrams to represent system requirements, workflows and ECU interactions. (Use cases, sequences, state diagrams etc.)
  • Proficient with JIRA or similar requirement and test management tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred (Secondary) Skills

  • Exposure to SDV (Software Defined Vehicle) architecture
  • Good experience in interacting with OEMs or tier-1 supplier
  • Knowledge of FOTA and Diagnostic tools.
  • Familiarity with ISO 26262 Functional safety standards.
