IT Technician

Job Description:

1. IT Infrastructure Management

• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of hardware (computers, servers, printers, networking devices).
• Ensure the school's internet, CCTV, Wi-Fi, and internal networks are functioning optimally.
• Manage cloud-based services and school management systems.

2. Software & System Administration

• Implement and maintain learning management systems (LMS) like Google Classroom or Blackboard.
• Ensure the smooth operation of administrative software for attendance, grading, and student records.
• Manage email systems and communication platforms.

3. Cybersecurity & Data Protection

• Implement cybersecurity measures to protect school data from threats.
• Monitor and prevent unauthorized access to school networks.

4. IT Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide technical support to teachers, students, and staff.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Train faculty and staff on using technology effectively.

5. Digital Learning & Innovation

• Support online learning and digital classroom tools.
• Implement e-learning initiatives and recommend new technologies.
• Assist teachers with integrating technology into the curriculum.

6. IT Budget & Vendor Management

• Plan and manage the IT budget for hardware, software, and maintenance.
• Coordinate with vendors for purchasing and maintenance of IT equipment.
• Evaluate new technology solutions for school improvement.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT
• Sound knowledge in Computer Hardware
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word
• Expertise in Photoshop, CorelDraw, and Canva App
• Good English speaking
• Male candidates only
• Ability to assemble and move computers between classrooms when necessary

Skills Required:

- Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word skills

- Graphic design proficiency in Photoshop, CorelDraw, and Canva

- Strong problem-solving skills for IT troubleshooting

- Capability to handle physical tasks related to computer assembly and relocation

- Computer Hardware operations
