Role summary The IT Technician is responsible for maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, providing frontline technical support to end users, and ensuring systems run securely and efficiently. This role handles hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and user training to minimize downtime and support business continuity. Key responsibilities Provide first‑line support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals; log, prioritize, and resolve tickets. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, standard software, and approved applications. Perform hardware diagnostics and repairs; coordinate warranty repairs and replacements. Manage user accounts and access (Active Directory, email provisioning, password resets). Support network basics : LAN/Wi‑Fi troubleshooting, cable checks, and liaising with network engineers for escalations. Maintain inventory of IT assets and software licenses; ensure compliance.
