IT Technician

Role summary

The IT Technician is responsible for maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, providing frontline technical support to end users, and ensuring systems run securely and efficiently. This role handles hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and user training to minimize downtime and support business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals; log, prioritize, and resolve tickets.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, standard software, and approved applications.
• Perform hardware diagnostics and repairs; coordinate warranty repairs and replacements.
• Manage user accounts and access (Active Directory, email provisioning, password resets).
• Support network basics: LAN/Wi‑Fi troubleshooting, cable checks, and liaising with network engineers for escalations.
• Maintain inventory of IT assets and software licenses; ensure compliance.
• Apply security best practices: patching, antivirus updates, and reporting incidents to IT Manager.
• Document solutions and create user guides; deliver basic end‑user training and onboarding support.

Required skills & competencies

• Technical: Windows and macOS troubleshooting; basic Linux familiarity; Office 365/G Suite; printer and peripheral support.
• Networking: TCP/IP fundamentals, DHCP, DNS, Wi‑Fi troubleshooting.
• Soft skills: Strong communication, customer service orientation, problem‑solving, and time management.
• Certifications (preferred): CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365 Certified, or equivalent.

Education & experience

• Degree: Diploma or Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Experience: 1–3 years in an IT support role (helpdesk, desktop support, or. Experience in corporate/enterprise environments preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
