IT Project Manager

As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing technology projects within the IT industry. This includes overseeing software development, system implementation, infrastructure upgrades, or cloud migration projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and within scope. Key Responsibilities: - Define Project Scope and Objectives: Collaborate with stakeholders to clearly define project scope, deliverables, and success criteria. - Develop Comprehensive Project Plans: Create detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation using methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall. - Resource Management: Identify and secure necessary internal and external resources and define roles and responsibilities for the project team. - Budget Management: Develop, manage, and track project budgets to ensure expenditures align with financial goals. - Lead Project Team: Motivate and manage cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and accountability. - Monitor Progress: Track project performance using tools like burn-down charts and KPI dashboards to analyze the successful completion of goals. - Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify, analyze, and manage project risks. Develop contingency plans to mitigate their impact. - Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet defined quality standards and technical specifications. - Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for project-related communications. Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders, steering committees, and executive leadership. - Change Management: Manage project scope changes through a formal change request process to maintain control over the project baseline. - Stakeholder Expectations: Align and manage the expectations of various business and technical stakeholders. - Final Delivery: Ensure successful delivery, implementation, and transition of the final product or service to the operations/support team. - Project Review: Conduct post-project evaluations to document successes and failures, driving continuous improvement in the PMO process. Required Skills and Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. - 3+ years of experience in managing IT projects (software development, infrastructure, systems implementation, etc.). - Proven experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and/or Waterfall methodologies. - Deep knowledge of Project Management principles, processes, and tools. - Certifications such as PMP or CSM are preferred. - Strong understanding of SDLC and modern IT architecture concepts. - Exceptional leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
