It Applications Team Lead - Senior Manager (BITS College, ABG group)

Role Overview

Salesforce CRM & Admissions, Student Information System (SIS), Learning Management System (LMS), Library Management System, Financial ERP, HRMS, and other mission-critical applications.

Role & responsibilities

Application Management & Operations

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise applications (deployment, configuration, upgrades, integration, performance optimization).
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of all academic and administrative applications.
• Oversee issue resolution, incident management, and root cause analysis for application-related problems.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with academic leaders and administrative heads to understand requirements and deliver effective IT solutions.
• Act as the primary liaison with application vendors and service providers.
• Lead user adoption initiatives, including training and support.

Strategic Planning & Governance

• Define and execute the application roadmap in alignment with institutional digital transformation goals.
• Establish governance standards, documentation, and compliance with IT policies.
• Recommend and implement innovative technology solutions to enhance teaching, learning, and operations.

Team Leadership & Vendor Management

• Lead and mentor the application support team at campus level.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts/SLAS, and ensure quality service delivery.
• Promote a culture of service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement..

Integration & Data Management

• Drive seamless integration of CRM, SIS, LMS, ERP, HRMS, and other systems.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across platforms.
• Maintain compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity, and higher education regulatory requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (Master's preferred).

  15 years of progressive experience

  in IT application management, ideally in higher education or large enterprise environments.
• Expertise in managing Salesforce CRM, ERP (Finance & HR), SIS, LMS, Library Management, and related systems.
• .Strong experience in

  application integration, vendor management, and IT governance.

• Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing complex projects.
• Knowledge of

  cybersecurity, compliance, and digital transformation best practices.
