Working closely withproduct owners, data pipelines engineers, and architects, this role transformscomplex source data into well-structured models that enable trusted, consistentdecision-making across the organization. Responsibilities Data Model Design & Development: Design andimplement conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support businessintelligence and analytics. Create reusableand scalable semantic models optimized for Power BI reporting. Apply bestpractices in dimensional modeling (e.g., star and snowflake schemas) tostructure data efficiently. Data Integration & Transformation Collaborate withdata engineers to ingest and transform data from multiple source systems. Translate raw datainto model-ready structures, ensuring compatibility with downstream tools andusers. Support ETL/ELTmapping and contribute to defining source-to-target logic for modeldevelopment. Documentation & Governance Document datamodels, definitions, data flows, and metadata in a structured and accessiblemanner. Contribute to andhelp enforce data modelling standards and frameworks across the organization. Stakeholder Collaboration : Partner withcross-functional teams to understand and meet data requirements. Performance Optimization: Conduct dataprofiling and validation to ensure data accuracy, completeness, andconsistency. Innovation andImprovement: Stay ahead oftrends, adopting new tools and techniques to enhance systems and processes. Experience,Skills & Personal Attributes Experience 5+ years in datamodelling and working with scalable data systems. Proven trackrecord of building enterprise grade data models for reporting and analytics. Experience workingwith Power BI datasets and large-scale business domains. Hands-onexperience with complex data environments, including multiple source systems. Skills Proficiency in SQLfor data querying and transformation. Expertise in datamodelling techniques (conceptual, logical, physical). Familiarity withdata integration tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or similar). Understanding ofBI tools and DAX for Power BI optimization. Knowledge of datawarehouse architecture and modern data platforms. Experience withsource-to-target mapping and model documentation. Agile experience(Kanban/Scrum) Personalattributes Analytical mindsetwith the ability to understand complex data relationships. Organized andmethodical, with strong documentation and planning skills.
