Role Overview

This is a full-time Investment Banking Intern role based in our Vasant Vihar, Delhi office. As an Investment Banking Intern, you’ll work closely with the founder and deal team on live strategic mandates — including fundraising research, pitch deck support, investor mapping, and market analysis. This is a high-learning, high-ownership opportunity suited for candidates looking to gain real-world exposure to startup advisory, venture capital, and investment banking.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in research and preparation of investor-ready collateral (pitch decks, financial analysis, market landscapes)
• Conduct competitor benchmarking, startup profiling, and valuation research
• Support investor mapping and outreach documentation
• Work on internal investment readiness projects and knowledge content for MeritX Academy
• Participate in events, deal reviews, and internal team discussions
• Collaborate with the design/content team to ensure polished, high-quality outputs

What we're looking for

• Recent graduate or final-year student in Finance, Economics, Business, or related fields
• Prior internship experience in IB/VC/startup ecosystem is a plus
• Proficiency in research, basic financial modeling, and PowerPoint presentations
• Strong analytical and written communication skills
• Curious, structured, deadline-oriented, and eager to learn
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Preferred tools

• Excel & PowerPoint / Google Slides
• Canva (for assisting with design)
• Familiarity with Pitchbook, Tracxn, and Crunchbase is a plus
