• Provide high-quality outpatient and inpatient cardiology care: evaluate referrals, manage clinic patients, and conduct regular ward/CCU rounds.
• Lead acute cardiac emergency response (STEMI, heart failure, arrhythmia management) and coordinate with emergency and critical care teams for timely interventions.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic cardiac tests including ECG, TMT, Holter, and transthoracic/transesophageal echocardiography; supervise reporting quality and turnaround time.
• Collaborate with anaesthesiology, cardiac surgery, radiology and allied teams for peri‑procedural care, case planning and multidisciplinary rounds.
• Drive clinical governance: maintain accurate medical records, participate in audits, enforce protocols, and contribute to quality improvement and patient‑safety initiatives.
• Mentor junior doctors and trainees, participate in continuing medical education (CME) and support community outreach/awareness programmes in Ambikapur.
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must‑Have

• DM Cardiology or DNB (Cardiology) from a recognized Indian medical institution and active medical registration.
• Minimum 1–3 years of independent clinical experience post‑DM/DNB in cardiology (hospital/tertiary care setting).
• Proven competence in echocardiography (TTE/TEE), ECG/TMT/Holter interpretation and management of acute cardiac conditions.
• Strong clinical judgement, excellent patient communication skills and ability to work independently on‑site in Ambikapur.
• Familiarity with clinical documentation, hospital protocols, audits and multidisciplinary care pathways.
  

Preferred

• Experience in interventional cardiology or prior Cath‑lab exposure (PCI/TAVI experience is an advantage).
• Accreditation or certification in advanced echocardiography; exposure to heart‑failure and device therapy (CRT/ICD) management.
• Leadership experience, publications or active participation in CMEs and community health initiatives.
