Job Title: Internal Auditor – Branch Banking & Retail Asset Products Location: Kolkata, West Bengal Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Internal Auditor to join our team at a leading bank in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will have expertise in branch banking operations and retail asset products (such as personal loans, home loans, and credit cards). The role will involve assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and compliance with regulations within these key business areas. Key Responsibilities: Conduct internal audits of branch banking operations, focusing on processes, compliance, and financial reporting. Review and assess the effectiveness of internal controls related to retail asset products. Evaluate risk management practices and identify areas of improvement in branch operations and retail lending processes. Ensure compliance with banking regulations, policies, and industry standards, and report any findings to senior management. Collaborate with branch and retail banking teams to identify operational inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions. Prepare detailed audit reports and presentations, providing actionable insights to management. Assist in developing and updating internal audit procedures and guidelines for branch and retail asset operations. Participate in risk assessments and assist in the implementation of corrective measures to mitigate potential risks. Requirements: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in internal auditing, with a strong focus on branch banking and retail asset products. Deep understanding of banking operations, retail lending, and related compliance requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and manage multiple audits simultaneously.
