What You Will Do
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern for our Pooled Fund Management team. This internship offers a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in asset management operations, specifically focusing on Pooled Fund Management.
Fund Oversight & Operations
- Monitor NAVs, fund expenses, and accruals across pooled fund structures
- Support fund launches, closures, and restructures in coordination with Legal, Product, and Transitions teams
- Assist with fund distributions, year-end processes, and regulatory filings
Governance & Compliance
- Build and maintain internal fund data trackers
- Assist with compiling board and audit deliverables
- Monitor compliance of fund and client eligibility and taxability
- Coordinate with custodians, fund administrators, and fund trustees
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare fund-level reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Support due diligence and investor inquiries
- Assist with fee modeling and fund performance analysis
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Liaise with internal teams and external service providers to ensure smooth fund operations
- Participate in strategic projects such as fund platform enhancements and service provider reviews
What You Bring
- MBA or B. Com in Finance/Accounting.
- Fund accounting experience is preferred.
- Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of industry experience.
- Good knowledge of the securities market.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with Power BI is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
- Industry Knowledge: Possess up to one year of professional experience in fund accounting, investments, finance, or banking. Exposure to Canadian, U.S., Cayman, or UCITS funds is considered advantageous. Familiarity with a variety of pooled fund structures—such as trusts, mutual funds, collective investment trusts (CITs), limited partnerships (LPs), UCITS, and master-feeder arrangements—is highly valued.
