Job Description

We are seeking a creative, meticulous, and experienced Interior Designer to plan, design, and manage the furnishing and arrangement of interior spaces in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. The ideal candidate will transform client needs and project requirements into functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environments, managing the project from initial concept through to final installation. Key Responsibilities1. Design & Conceptualization Consultation: Meet with clients to determine project scope, goals, budget, and functional requirements for the space. Concept Development: Conceptualize and present design solutions, including space planning, color palettes, material selections, and furniture layouts, using mood boards and presentations. Drawing & Documentation: Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and custom millwork details using software like AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc. Selection: Source and specify furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), finishes, lighting, decorations, and art that align with the design concept and budget. 2. Project Management & Execution Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, tracking costs for materials, labor, and furnishings to ensure financial goals are met. Coordination: Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure the design vision is executed accurately and efficiently. Site Visits: Conduct on-site inspections and work supervision to ensure construction and installation are proceeding according to design specifications and quality standards. Purchasing & Logistics: Oversee the purchasing, tracking, and delivery/installation of all materials and furnishings. 3. Client & Stakeholder Management Communication: Maintain clear, proactive, and professional communication with clients throughout all project phases, managing expectations and presenting solutions to challenges. Presentations: Deliver persuasive presentations to clients, clearly articulating the design intent and technical details. Issue Resolution: Act as the main point of contact for design-related issues, providing timely and effective solutions. Required Qualifications & Skills Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field. Experience: years of professional experience in interior design, preferably in [Residential/Commercial/Hospitality] projects. Technical Proficiency: Expertise in design software, including: CAD: AutoCAD and/or Revit 3D Modeling/Rendering: SketchUp, 3ds Max, or similar. Presentation: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace. Knowledge: Strong understanding of building codes, ADA compliance, safety regulations, and sustainable design principles. Soft Skills: Excellent creative and aesthetic sense with a strong portfolio. Outstanding organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented and resourceful problem-solver.
