Role Overview

Integration Architect

Key Responsibilities

1. Enterprise Integration Architecture

• Design and implement large-scale integration solutions using

  API-led, event-driven, and SOA architectures

  .
• Create end-to-end integration blueprints covering APIs, messaging, events, security, and data flows.
• Establish and maintain enterprise integration standards, patterns, and best practices.

2. Integration Platforms & iPaaS

• Architect and deliver solutions using

  MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Informatica, Azure Integration Services

  , or similar iPaaS/ESB platforms.
• Build reusable connectors, workflows, and integration components to support business and technology teams.

3. API & Microservices Integration

• Lead the design of

  microservices-based integrations

  and

  API gateway configurations

  .
• Manage API lifecycle, including design, versioning, publishing, monitoring, and retirement.
• Ensure API performance, reliability, and security across internal and external interfaces.

4. Messaging & Event-Driven Systems

• Implement enterprise messaging solutions using

  Kafka and RabbitMQ

  for real-time and asynchronous communication.
• Design event-streaming, pub/sub, and message orchestration patterns for high-volume workloads.

5. Data Mapping & Transformation

• Build complex

  data mapping, transformation, and validation

  logic across systems.
• Work with formats like XML, JSON, EDI, and insurance-specific data standards.

6. Security & Compliance

• Implement integration security using

  OAuth2, JWT, API keys, encryption

  , and secure access policies.
• Ensure all integrations follow enterprise security standards and regulatory compliance.

7. Cloud Integration & System Design

• Use modern

  cloud integration patterns

  to build scalable, resilient, and high-performance solutions.
• Work with architects, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to define integration roadmaps and designs.

8. Governance & Documentation

• Create architecture documents, mapping specifications, guidelines, and reusable frameworks.
• Conduct design reviews, enforce integration governance, and mentor engineering teams.

Required Skills

Enterprise integration architecture, API-led integration, event-driven architecture, SOA, ESB/iPaaS (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Informatica, Azure Integration Services), microservices integration, API gateway management, Kafka, RabbitMQ, data mapping, security (OAuth2, JWT), cloud integration patterns, system design, governance, documentation.

Experience Required

• 10–15 years total experience

  in integration, middleware, or software architecture.

• 7+ years

  in integration/middleware/software development roles.

• 3+ years

  designing

  enterprise-level integration architectures

  .
• Proven hands-on experience with the

  Azure integration stack

  .
• Experience building and scaling

  large API platforms

  .
• Experience with

  event-driven systems processing millions of messages

  .

• Insurance domain experience

  (policy, claims, billing, ACORD) is preferred.
