Job Description

The candidate will be responsible to work with advisors and clients regarding service issues, requests, policies, procedures, and information on accounts. Communication with advisors via system to assist them with their queries, open issues and resolve high level problems in timely manner. Emphasis is on creating and delivering a unique client experience that defines and differentiate advisors’ practices. To provide brilliant customer service by responding to advisor and client inquires in fact pace, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform data evaluation on information retrieved from hard money loan applications
  • Consult with Loan Officers following meetings with potential clients
  • Investigate the medical questionnaire and documents in question and make assessment about investment ROI
  • Research project costs for remodeling and renovating properties listed on loan applications
  • Conduct risk assessments on potential clients based on previous borrowing history, credit rating, industry experience and other factors
  • Request additional information from Loan Officers when appropriate
  • Render application decisions based on consultations with supervisory underwriter and upper management
  • Prepare reports detailing risk assessment findings and other data that contribute to lending decisions
  • To document, scrutinize and assess risk on the underwriting policies
  • Calculate the risk involved as per the rules/guidelines and submit the report to management
  • Review renewal and requests for benefit changes in individual contracts
  • Evaluate new and renewal applications to determine insurance risks and premiums
  • Review new business opportunities for potential brokerage clients fit within establishments
  • Identify factors which result in decline of opportunities to quote and give the confirmation to next level Underwriter for declining the request
  • Analyze requests to quote to assess eligiblity and degree of risk including by reviewing the industry type, given employees existing benefits, occupations to be covered, date of hire, location, salary levels, age, classing criteria and benefit levels
  • Forward complete quote to Underwriting assistants/management for final rate generation, to set margins and distribution of the final proposal document
  • Participate in Team meetings, huddles, and brainstorming sessions to discuss process updates, operational issues and identify process improvement opportunities

Required Qualifications

Graduate/ Post- Graduate in finance / commerce/ business management/ operations discipline Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and time-management skills. Good working knowledge of computers, with proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Power Point and Excel). Exposure to financial products like mutual funds, insurance, retirement services, financial planning, etc would be an added advantage. Knowledge of equity and fixed income securities. Understanding of derivatives and related securities.

Preferred Qualifications

Product-specific or financial services industry experience will be an added advantage. Desired experience of 3-5 years in the field of brokerage and a Strong academic background/ orientation.
