Instrumentation Engineer

We are looking for a driven and technically sound Instrumentation Engineer – Sales to join our team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in industrial automation and instrumentation sales, a client-first attitude, and the ability to understand and deliver customized automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage client relationships in industrial automation and instrumentation sectors.
• Promote and sell Soham Automation’s product portfolio: sensors, transmitters, PLCs, HMIs, data loggers, SCADA systems, and control panels.
• Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients.
• Understand customer requirements and propose suitable, technically sound solutions.
• Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, and negotiate contracts.
• Meet sales targets and drive revenue growth.
• Coordinate with the internal engineering team for solution development and delivery.
• Conduct site visits, attend trade shows, and provide post-sales support when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

• Degree/Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in technical/instrumentation sales.
• Strong technical understanding of automation systems and industrial instrumentation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer-handling skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently for business development.

Preferred Skills:

• Sales experience in Pharma, OEMs, Process Plants, or EPC companies.
• Familiarity with SCADA, control panels, IoT solutions, and smart instrumentation.
• Proficiency in CRM and reporting tools like MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
