Role Overview

The Centre Head is the captain of Parsec Whitefield - a visionary and doer rolled into one. They will lead from the front, inspiring thousands of learners everyday and guiding the team to make science an everyday adventure. This role blends the energy of a startup, the rigour of a research lab, and the soul of a community movement. They have to shape visitor experiences, build collaborations, drive impact, and nurture a culture of discovery — all while keeping the centre with exhibits, galleries, events, facilities buzzing with life, laughter, and learning. Because the future doesn’t just happen, we have to build it. At Param, the head won’t just run a centre. They will lead a movement that transforms imagination into innovation and citizens into changemakers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Responsibilities — Inspire, Engage, Lead

● Inspire Visitors: Spark curiosity and guide visitors to start their journey toward innovation.

● Operational Excellence: Conduct daily walkthroughs to ensure exhibits, labs, and utilities are in top

shape.

● Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and support facilitators, interns, and volunteers.

● Visitor Flow: Keep the centre lively, engaging, and full of energy.

● Documentation: Maintain daily dashboards — footfall, issues, highlights, and learning moments.

● Coordination: Liaise with HQ for support and ensure seamless functioning.

2. Periodic Responsibilities — Build, Nurture, Grow

● Centre Management: Conduct weekly and bimonthly reviews across all functions.

● Collaboration: Work closely with other Parsec Heads and HQ vertical leads.

● Impact Reporting: Share visitor insights, feedback, and performance analytics.

● Training: Conduct inductions, upskilling sessions, and workshops for the team.

● Budget & Maintenance: Manage budgets, forecast needs, and oversee preventive maintenance.

3. Strategic Responsibilities — Imagine, Connect, Lead

● Living Lab Vision: Build a space where science meets life — buzzing with energy, ideas, and

innovation.

● Community Partnerships: Collaborate with schools, NGOs, and civic bodies; stay plugged into

Bengaluru’s pulse.

● Sponsorships & Fundraising: Engage with potential partners and sponsors.

● Representation: Be the face and voice of Parsec Whitefield across forums and collaborations.

● Storytelling: Document and share stories of innovation, impact, and wonder from the centre.
