Roles and Responsibilities: Plastic product design and development (end-end), knowledge of Injection Molding (process engineering, DFM), manage BOM, provide cost-feature trade-off directions, review and approve the on-product markings (engravings, printing, labels), Documentation: Develop deep rooted understanding of the product specification packages and detailed engineering documentation to communicate with internal stakeholders. Resolving molding issues. - shrinkage, deformation, cycle time, etc. Debugging new mold tools, establishing molding process parameters. Evaluate/create design of molded components and evolve Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis. Coordinate with tooling vendor to review mold testing report beforehand tooling arrival on site, select proper size molding machine and auxiliary equipment for preparation of molding pilot.
