Position: Manufacturing Excellence

Exp: 12+ years

Location: Hosur.

• Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen) to improve productivity, reduce defects, shorten lead times, and reduce costs.
• Drive the No-fault Forwarding Lines and End-of-Line Automation programs, ensuring integration with manufacturing engineering functions.
• Ensure deployment of robotic assembly lines, automated inspection, poka-yoke, and sensors for process monitoring for critical parameters (temp, air pressure etc.).
• Lead Manufacturing Engineering efforts: process development, tooling, machine capability, work cell design, layout optimization.
• Oversee automation and smart factory initiatives: ASRS (automated storage and retrieval), digital check sheets, barcode traceability, live production monitoring, AI/ML where applicable.
• Standardize operating procedures (SOPs / work instructions), ensure training (including digital / video / e-learning) for operators and cross-functional teams.
• Monitor and manage quality systems: inprocess inspections, final product testing, vendor quality, internal benchmarking, ensure compliance with relevant automotive quality standards (e.g. ISO/TS, IATF 16949, etc.)
• Collaborate with maintenance, tooling, R&D, and supply chain teams to ensure equipment reliability, process stability, and right material availability.
• Facilitate changeover reduction, line balancing, throughput optimization, and capacity planning.
• Use data analytics to track key KPIs (yield, scrap rates, downtime, OEE), report results, identify root causes of issues, and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement among shop floor staff: mentoring, recognizing improvement ideas, ensuring accountability.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Production / Manufacturing Engineering (or related field). Higher degree a plus.
• Experience 510+ years in manufacturing operations in the automotive or auto components sector, with exposure to highvolume production and precision components.
