Manufacturing Engineering

Role & responsibilities

• Review customer demand forecasts and align facility requirements accordingly.
• Assess the efficiency and utilization of current equipment and infrastructure.
• Determine additional facility needs and prepare recommendations.
• Seek initial management approval for estimated budget and project timelines.
• Organize cross-functional team (CFT) discussions with all relevant stakeholders.
• Collect inputs from CFT members, evaluate alternatives, and shortlist the top three proposals for management review.
• Interact with potential suppliers to assess feasibility, cost, performance, and risk trade-offs.
• Request and review supplier quotations against preliminary specifications, resolve gaps or queries if any.
• Prepare comprehensive budget proposals with proper justification.
• Develop a detailed project schedule covering design, procurement, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Obtain final management approval for Capex investment.
• Lead techno-commercial negotiations with suppliers, finalize agreements, and release purchase orders.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of facilities at designated locations within agreed timelines.
• Verify installations against specifications and document results.
• Arrange training sessions for operators, inspectors, and maintenance personnel, and maintain proper records.
• Formally hand over commissioned facilities to operations with complete documentation.

Preferred Candidate:

• Experience:

  17 to 25 years in

  Manufacturing Excellence, Operations, and Engineering

• Domain Expertise:

  Hands-on experience in

  Injection Moulding

  and

  Paint Shop operations

• Qualification:

  Diploma / Graduate in Engineering (Mechanical / Production / Industrial / Automobile preferred)
• Experience in

  Auto Component Manufacturing with expertise in Plastic Injection Moulding and Manufacturing Excellence
