Job Description


Role Overview

The Service Delivery Manager (SDM) will act as the primary client-facing delivery lead, responsible for ensuring the successful execution of cybersecurity managed services. This includes ISO 27001 implementation, SOC operations, VAPT coordination, cloud security posture management, and governance reporting. The SDM will report directly to the client’s CISO while maintaining an internal reporting line to Protecte’s CXO/Head of Managed Services.

Reporting To (Internal): Protecte CXO / Head of Managed Services 


Role Type: Client-Facing (Hybrid – Remote + Onsite Coordination) 


Department: Managed Security Services 


Location: As required by client engagements 


Key Responsibilities

1. Client Relationship & Stakeholder Management 

Serve as the single point of contact for client leadership. 

Manage expectations, escalations, and delivery outcomes. 

Communicate security posture, risks, and program updates in business-friendly terms. 

Build trust and maintain a strong, professional client relationship. 


2. Governance, Reporting & Executive Communication 

Lead monthly operational meetings and quarterly executive governance reviews. 

Prepare maturity scorecards, dashboards, and risk summaries. 

Translate technical security updates into executive-level insights. 


3. Delivery Oversight Across Protecte Teams 

Coordinate daily activities across SOC, Compliance, VAPT, and Engineering teams. 

Ensure alignment of delivery with client priorities and timelines. 

Track SLAs, KPIs, and remediation activities. 


4. Dual Reporting & Coordination 

Report to the client’s CISO for delivery oversight. 

Report internally to Protecte CXO for governance and performance. 

Act as a bridge between client expectations and internal delivery execution. 


5. Process, Documentation & Audit Readiness 

Maintain audit-ready evidence, documentation, and logs. 

Support ISO 27001, DPDP/GDPR, and internal audits. 

Drive standardization, documentation quality, and continuous improvement. 


Required Skills & Experience

- 5–7 years of experience in cybersecurity delivery, SOC operations, or governance. 

- Strong communication and stakeholder-handling skills. 

- Experience working with CISOs and senior leadership. 

- Knowledge of ISO 27001, VAPT processes, SIEM, CSPM, and incident management. 

- Ability to work in structured, high-pressure, client-facing environments. 


Preferred Certifications

- ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor 

- ITIL v4 Foundation 

- CISM or CISSP (preferred) 

- PMP or Prince2 (optional)

- SLA/KPI adherence ≥ 95% 

- 100% audit readiness 

- Timely governance reporting 

- Strong trust and relationship with client leadership
