We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven

Industrial Automation Sales Engineer

to join our team.This role combines technical expertise with sales acumen to drive growth and provide tailored automation solutions to industrial clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in automation systems, PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, robotics, sensors, and industrial communication networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within automotive manufacturing, process industries, and OEM sectors
  • Understand customer automation needs and recommend appropriate technical solutions, products, or systems
  • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations for clients
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to tailor solutions and proposals
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers and key stakeholders
  • Prepare and deliver quotations, proposals, and tender documents
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales while achieving revenue and margin targets
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support and training
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automation technologies, industry trends, and competitor products
  • Report regularly on sales activity, forecasts, and customer feedback.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or related field
  • Fresher or experienced candidates in industrial automation sales or technical support
  • Solid understanding of automation components and systems such as PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMIs, SCADA, motion control, and sensors
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and specifications
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities
  • Willingness to travel regionally or nationally as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in industries such as automotive, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, or energy
  • Familiarity with industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus)
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
  • Additional certifications in automation or sales (e.g., ISA, Six Sigma) are a plus
