🔍 **We're Hiring – Induction Hardening**

📍 *Location: Bundala Near Phagwara

🏢 *Company: Auto Manufacturing Industry


Job

The Induction Hardening Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire induction hardening process within the manufacturing plant. This role involves planning, supervising, and improving the induction hardening operations to ensure product quality, efficiency, and compliance with safety and technical standards.


#Key

·        Process Management:

·        Manage and optimize the induction hardening process

·        Set up and monitor process parameters (power, frequency, cycle time, quenching, etc.).

·        Ensure the correct selection of coils, fixtures, and quenching systems.

·        Quality Control:

·        Ensure hardening quality meets metallurgical and dimensional specifications.

·        Implement and monitor NDT (e.g., MPI) and hardness testing (HRC, HV).

·        Coordinate with QA/QC teams to analyze defects like cracking, excessive Distortion.

·        Team Supervision:

·        Lead and mentor a team of operators.

·        Conduct training on safety, machine operations, and process compliance.

·        Maintenance & Equipment:

·        Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of induction machines.

·        Coordinate with maintenance teams for troubleshooting electrical/mechanical faults.

·        Production Planning:

·        Coordinate with PPC to align with Requirements.

·        Ensure timely completion of hardening operations to meet production targets.

·        Documentation & Reporting:

·        Maintain process records, logs, and inspection reports as Per CQI-9 and IATF Requirements.

·        Generate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.

·        Safety & Compliance:

·        Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and environmental norms.

·        Implement 5S, Kaizen, and other lean manufacturing practices.


#Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering.

·        4+ years of experience in induction hardening.

·        Knowledge of metallurgical principles, heat treatment cycles, and hardening defects.

·        Familiarity with induction hardening equipment (Incoterm, Megathere, etc.).

·        Proficiency in reading technical drawings and hardness profiles.


#Key

·        Strong leadership and team management skills

·        Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

·        Working knowledge of CQI-9 and IATF standards

·        Good communication and reporting ability

·        Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and quality tools.
