Indirect Purchasing Supervisor

You will be responsible for coaching, leading, and developing diverse talent within the purchasing team to create a high-performance environment. Your commitment to the Leadership Standard Work will set the example for the team while promoting an inclusive culture. You will work on aligning suppliers with purchase order requirements, product specifications, and delivery terms to ensure smooth transactions. Managing costs effectively and executing category strategies will be crucial in delivering best value to Smiths. Structuring the team efficiently, managing daily tasks, and addressing issues promptly will be part of your routine. You will need to demonstrate an understanding of the overall business strategy and actively contribute towards its achievement. Monitoring various key performance indicators such as PR to PO Turnaround, Purchase order ageing, PPV, Invoice hold value, Supplier OTD, and others will be essential in driving cost competitiveness and operational efficiency. Ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, collaborating with stakeholders, analyzing procurement data for cost-saving opportunities, and identifying process improvements will be key responsibilities. You will work towards timely delivery of materials, supplier rationalization, and maintaining spend covered with contracts and catalogues. To qualify for this role, you should have at least 5 years of experience in leading and building diverse teams, professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management, strong analytical skills, lean problem-solving abilities, proficiency in IT systems, knowledge of supply contracts, and an understanding of Category Management approaches.
