The firm serves a diverse client base, including major national and multinational corporations across various sectors like banking, finance, automobile, engineering, IT, FMCG, and more.Location: Mumbai, India Firm: IndiaLaw LLP.Department: Dispute Resolution Arbitration.Reporting To: Partner Arbitration OverviewIndiaLaw LLP is looking for a seasoned Senior Legal Associate to join its Arbitration Practice in Mumbai.The role involves managing complex domestic and international arbitration matters, advising clients on dispute strategy, and representing them before arbitral tribunals and courts.The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in arbitration law, strong drafting and advocacy skills, and a client-centric Responsibilities
  • Handle high-value arbitration matters under institutional and ad hoc rules (e.g., ICA, SIAC, LCIA, UNCITRAL).
  • Draft pleadings, statements of claim/defense, witness affidavits, and procedural submissions.
  • Develop case strategy and manage proceedings from initiation to enforcement.
  • Represent clients before arbitral tribunals and coordinate with external counsel when required.
  • Advise clients on dispute resolution clauses, pre-litigation strategy, and risk mitigation.
  • Stay updated on arbitration law developments and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
  • Mentor junior associates and support business development & Skills
  • LLB from a reputed institution; LLM in Arbitration or Commercial Law is a plus.
  • 4-6 years of experience in arbitration and commercial litigation.
  • Strong understanding of arbitration laws, procedural rules, and enforcement mechanisms.
  • Excellent drafting, research, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage complex matters independently and lead client interactions.
  • Familiarity with digital arbitration platforms and e-discovery tools.
  • Professional demeanor and team leadership capabilities.
