Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Financial Oversight:

  Advise on capital structuring, project financing (debt/equity), and risk mitigation for multi-megawatt IPP projects.

• IPP Business Guidance:

  Provide insights on Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), tariff bidding strategies, and regulatory compliance (GERC/CERC).

• Governance & Compliance:

  Act as a "watchdog" for minority shareholders and ensure financial probity in all board-level decisions.

• Risk Management:

  Evaluate the long-term viability of solar assets and help build a resilient portfolio of utility-scale projects.

• Mentorship:

  Guide the executive leadership team on institutionalizing the business for future fundraising and potential listing.

Qualifications

• Industry Expertise:

  15+ years of experience in the Power/Renewable Energy sector, specifically within IPP or Project Finance.

• Professional Background:

  Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA (Finance), or a former C-suite executive (CFO/CEO) from a reputable energy firm.

• Board Experience:

  Prior experience as an Independent Director or on a Management Committee is preferred.

• Regulatory Knowledge:

  Deep understanding of the Indian renewable energy landscape, including subsidies, Open Access policies, and grid integration.
