Job Description

As a Manager at Derewala Industries Ltd., your role involves overseeing import and export operations, vendor and supplier management, inventory control, regulatory compliance, cost optimization, risk management, reporting, and documentation. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate the transportation of raw materials and finished jewellery among suppliers, manufacturing units, and international clients. - Ensure adherence to international trade regulations and company policies in all import/export activities. - Manage shipping documentation like bills of lading, import/export licenses, customs forms, invoices, and certificates of origin. - Supervise customs clearance procedures and guarantee compliance with customs regulations. - Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and freight forwarders for timely and cost-efficient deliveries. - Negotiate contracts with suppliers, freight companies, and logistics partners to optimize costs. - Collaborate with the supply chain team to maintain accurate inventory records of raw materials and finished jewellery. - Handle import and export documentation to minimize disruptions in manufacturing operations. - Ensure compliance with local and international trade laws, especially those concerning precious metals and gemstones. - Stay informed about the latest trade and tariff regulations relevant to the jewellery sector. - Analyze shipping costs, tariffs, and logistics expenses to enhance import and export cost-effectiveness. - Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising shipment quality or timeliness. - Proactively address and mitigate risks associated with import/export processes and unforeseen challenges. - Liaise with insurance providers to secure appropriate coverage for shipments, including precious metals and gemstones. - Generate regular reports on import/export performance, encompassing financial summaries, delivery timelines, and obstacles. - Maintain accurate records of all import/export transactions, shipments, and related documents for audit purposes. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Business, Logistics, or a related field. A Master's degree is considered advantageous. - Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in import/export management, preferably within the manufacturing sector. - Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in logistics management software and tools (ERP systems, customs management software). Ability to handle time-sensitive tasks and adapt to evolving regulations and market conditions.,
