We are seeking a Senior IIoT Architect responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions that align with business objectives across manufacturing, pharma, energy, and automotive domains. This role involves defining the overall architecture of IIoT systems, including device connectivity, data flow, cloud integration, data modeling using Unified Namespace (UNS), edge frameworks, Analytics, and Generative AI. The architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams—such as edge engineers, software developers, and data scientists—to ensure seamless integration across platforms and guide the development lifecycle from concept to deployment.
- Define and implement reference architectures for IIoT platforms integrating OT systems (PLC, SCADA, MES, Historian) with enterprise IT systems (ERP, CRM, LIMS).
- Architect and hands on experience on edge-to-cloud data pipelines using protocols like OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, and leveraging platforms such as Azure IoT Edge, AWS IoT Core, SiteWise, AWS TwinMaker, AWS Greengrass, AWS IoT Rules Engine, Kinesis, SNS, Dynamo DB, EC2, S3 etc.
- Lead the design of Unified Namespace (UNS), industrial data models, and contextualization frameworks for real-time decisioning and digital twins.
- Select appropriate technologies and establish security protocols for device-to-cloud communication and data governance. Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity, role-based access control, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in creating and deploying Micro service-based architecture, testing and deployment automation
- Have experience in transitioning large-scale monolithic applications to micro services architecture
- Have experience in Cluster Management, Load Balancing, Performance monitoring and Alarm handling
- Have experience in Scalability, High Availability, Light Footprint and Low memory-based architecture
- Have experience in deployment in Cloud PaaS environments (MS Azure, Amazon AWS or Google Cloud) and Kubernetes based deployment on bare metal
- Experience with edge tools like Kepware, HighByte Intelligence Hub, Litmus Edge, Ignition by Inductive Automation
- Exposure to Amazon Quicksight, Amazon SageMaker, Bedrock etc.
- Experience with AI/ML capabilities, MLOps, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and GenAI orchestration frameworks, intelligent advisory systems
- Strong grasp of data lakes, streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis), and ETL/ELT pipelines
- Implement data governance and quality frameworks including metadata management, lineage tracking, privacy-by-design, and GenAI-powered policy automation.
- Collaborate with product engineering, data science, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure, compliant, and performant deployments across cloud and edge environments.
- Lead client workshops, solution blueprinting, and advisory engagements to assess maturity, define roadmaps, and guide transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of core architectural concepts including distributed computing, scalability, availability and performance
- Experience in Requirement Understanding, Design and Development of IoT Solutions
- Experience in Cloud Computing, SOA, and Web Technologies
- Experience in frameworks for Middleware development such as Service Bus, Message Queues etc.
- Understanding of any other leading IoT platforms such as Azure is an added advantage
- Handson experience with at least one of the languages covering, for example .Net
