Job Description

Job Description: As a Human Resource Manager at our life science manufacturing facility in Madurai, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all HR functions. Your responsibilities will include implementing HR strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, fostering a high-performance culture, and supporting talent management in a GMP-regulated environment. Key Responsibilities: - Manage end-to-end recruitment for technical, production, and support roles. - Coordinate onboarding processes to ensure compliance with industry and safety standards. - Partner with Quality and Operations to ensure staff training meets GMP/GLP/GDP compliance. - Identify skill gaps and coordinate technical and behavioral training programs. - Act as a liaison between management and employees to resolve issues promptly and professionally. - Lead employee engagement initiatives aligned with corporate culture and values. - Ensure HR policies comply with labor laws, EHS guidelines, and industry regulations. - Maintain employee records, contracts, and documentation in line with FDA/EMA/MHRA or equivalent compliance standards. - Oversee the performance appraisal process, goal setting, and development plans. - Coach managers on performance improvement and disciplinary procedures. - Coordinate with finance to ensure accuracy and timeliness of compensation and benefits. - Collaborate with the EHS team to support a safe working environment. - Promote wellness initiatives tailored to factory staff. Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelors/Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. - 15-20 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or life sciences environment. - Strong understanding of labor laws, GMP standards, and HR best practices. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills. - Proficient in HRMS software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device manufacturing company. - Certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR. - Working knowledge of ISO, FDA, or EMA regulatory environments.
