Job Description

The Human Resources Executive will play a pivotal role in supporting the daily functions of the HR department at Canary Islands Resort and Spa. This includes recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll coordination, HR compliance, and assisting in the creation of a vibrant, people-first culture that aligns with our luxury hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities:Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Assist in talent acquisition by posting job openings, screening CVs, and coordinating interviews.
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, including paperwork, orientation, and training scheduling.
  • Maintain updated job descriptions and organizational charts.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee queries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Support conflict resolution and escalate employee issues as necessary.
  • Promote a positive working environment aligned with the resort's culture and values.

HR Administration & Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation, both digitally and physically.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and resort policies.
  • Assist with internal audits and HR reporting.

Performance Management & Training:

  • Support the performance appraisal process by tracking deadlines and collecting evaluations.
  • Assist in organizing staff training sessions and wellness programs.
  • Promote internal development and career progression initiatives.

Payroll & Benefits:

  • Coordinate monthly payroll input and ensure accuracy of timesheets, leaves, and allowances.
  • Assist with benefits administration including health insurance, accommodation, and staff discounts.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of HR experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of Spanish labor laws; fluency in Spanish and English is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in HR software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, BambooHR) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience working in luxury resort or spa settings.
  • Multilingual abilities (e.g., German, French) are a plus.
  • Familiarity with employee engagement strategies in hospitality.
