Role Overview

HR Manager


Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Lead end-to-end hiring for multiple departments (Healthcare, Digital, Technical, Customer Support, Accounts, etc.).

  • Collaborate with team leads to forecast manpower needs and finalize hiring priorities.

  • Prepare job descriptions, shortlist candidates, conduct interviews, and manage the final selection process.

  • Oversee smooth onboarding, documentation, and induction for new hires.

  • Maintain recruitment trackers and weekly hiring dashboards.

2. HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to statutory and labor compliances (PF, ESI, LWF, Gratuity, Professional Tax, Shops & Establishments Act, etc.).

  • Maintain employee records, contracts, NDAs, and statutory registers.

  • Handle audits with accuracy and ensure timely reporting.

  • Partner with finance for payroll processing, attendance, and performance-linked pay.

3. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Build a positive and transparent work culture.

  • Plan and execute employee engagement programs, rewards, and recognition initiatives.

  • Address grievances confidentially and maintain healthy team relations.

  • Conduct regular one-on-one discussions for feedback and morale tracking.

4. Performance Management

  • Define KRAs and KPIs in coordination with department heads.

  • Implement structured review cycles and appraisal frameworks.

  • Track attendance, productivity, and performance metrics.

  • Recommend corrective actions or learning interventions when needed.

5. Policy Development & Implementation

  • Draft and maintain company policies on attendance, leave, code of conduct, remote work, and performance.

  • Ensure all policies comply with labor laws and company values.

  • Communicate updates clearly across the organization.

6. Strategic HR & Workforce Planning

  • Align HR plans with business growth strategies.

  • Support leadership with organization structure, workforce forecasting, and succession planning.

  • Contribute to cross-departmental initiatives and process improvements.


Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA or PGDM in Human Resources (mandatory).

  • 48 years of experience in HR operations or generalist roles (startup experience preferred).

  • Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and compliance processes.

  • Experience in recruitment, employee lifecycle management, and HR analytics.


Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Hands-on with HRMS tools, Excel/Google Sheets, and documentation.

  • Analytical thinker with strategic execution mindset.

  • High emotional intelligence and professionalism in conflict handling.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
