Role & responsibilities

Position Overview:

The HR Compliance Manager will ensure statutory compliance across all locations, manage audits, coordinate with government authorities, and lead compliance automation initiatives. The role will also support basic HR operations and requires regular travel to sites/branches for audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Statutory Compliance Management-

  • Ensure full compliance with labour laws: CLRA, S&E Act, Minimum Wages, Payment of Wages, Bonus, PF, ESIC, LWF, Gratuity, POSH etc.
  • Timely submission of statutory returns, challans, registers & documentation.
  • Monitor contractor compliance and ensure adherence at all client sites.

2. Audit & Documentation-

  • Lead statutory, internal, and client audits across locations.
  • Prepare audit MIS, reports, non-compliance action plans, and closure follow-up.
  • Ensure audit readiness for labour inspections at all times.

3. Government Liaison-

  • Coordinate with PF, ESIC, Labour Office, and other authorities for inspections, notices, and queries.
  • Prepare responses, documentation and ensure compliance closures.

4. Compliance Automation & Tools-

  • Manage HRMS/Compliance automation tools for PF/ESIC, CLRA, registers, dashboards, and audits.
  • Drive automation for manual compliance tasks to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with IT/vendors for system enhancements.

5. Policy & Process Implementation-

  • Draft/update compliance SOPs, HR policies, and guidelines.
  • Support POSH compliance and maintain ICC documentation.
  • Conduct training for HR/Operations teams on compliance and HR processes.

6. Basic HR Activities

  • Support onboarding documentation, induction, PF/ESIC activation, and ID creation.
  • Maintain employee personal files & HRMS updates.
  • Manage attendance queries, leave records, and compliance-related payroll inputs.
  • Handle employee queries related to PF, ESIC, statutory benefits, and HR letters.
  • Support exit formalities and create necessary compliance clearance records.
  • Coordinate HR documentation and reports with branch/site teams.

7.Mandatory travel

    • Compliance audits
    • Statutory inspections
    • Client audits/document submissions
    • On-ground HR & compliance support

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate/Post Graduate in HR, MSW, MBA HR, Labour Law (preferred).
  • 5-10 years of experience

    in statutory compliance (Facility Management/Manufacturing preferred).
  • Experience working on HRMS/compliance automation tools.
  • Strong knowledge of State & Central labour laws.

Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of labour laws & compliance processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel, MIS, and digital compliance tools.
  • Good communication & negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly and manage multi-location compliance.
