HPC Technical Lead

Role:

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support high-performance compute clusters.
• Apply expertise in HPC systems including CPU/GPU architecture, scalable storage, high-bandwidth interconnects, and cloud-based computing architectures.
• Generate hardware BOMs for HPC clusters, manage vendors, and oversee hardware release activities.
• Configure Linux-based operating systems for HPC systems.
• Define project specifications and performance requirements at subsystem and system levels, ensuring on-time delivery.
• Support the design and release of new products to manufacturing and customers by providing quality golden images, procedures, scripts, and documentation.
  

Required Qualifications

• In-depth, distribution-agnostic knowledge of Linux systems (SuSE, RedHat, Rocky, Ubuntu).
• Experience in designing and maintaining robust storage solutions.
• Strong HPC hardware knowledge (server, GPU, networking, storage, BIOS, BMC).
• Experience with System-D, Net boot/PXE, Linux HA.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals and protocols such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP.
• Proficiency in Shell and Python scripting.
• Experience with one or more configuration management utilities (Salt, Chef, Puppet, etc.).
  

Preferred Qualifications

• DevOps experience: CI/CD (Jenkins), Git-based repositories, container technologies (Singularity, Docker).
• Experience with Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Knowledge of Apache/Nginx, proxy/reverse proxy, application server routing, load balancing (HA Proxy).
• Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (BE/BTech/MCA/MSc mandatory).
• 6 to 10 years of validated experience.
• Note: Candidates with only a Diploma, BCA, or BSc (3-year degree) are not eligible.

Must-Haves

• Minimum 7 years of experience in:
• HPC systems and clusters
• Linux systems
• HPC hardware (server, GPU, networking, storage, BIOS, BMC)
• TCP/IP fundamentals
• Degree: BE/BTech/MCA/MSc mandatory.
• Minimum 2 years of tenure per organization (no job hopping, no unexplained gaps).
• Note: Candidates with only DevOps backgrounds will not be considered a fit.
