Housekeeping Manager

Minimalist Hotels is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping operations in Goa. The ideal candidate will come with prior hospitality experience, strong knowledge of housekeeping essentials and supplies, and proven skills in staff training, supervision, and record maintenance. This role is critical in ensuring immaculate standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest comfort.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs)

1. Housekeeping Operations

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house.

• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are consistently maintained.

• Monitor use of cleaning equipment and supplies.

2. Inventory & Supplies

• Maintain accurate records of housekeeping essentials, chemicals, linen, and guest supplies.

• Coordinate with purchase and stores for timely procurement.

• Ensure cost-effective use of supplies without compromising quality.

3. Staff Management & Training

• Supervise and manage the housekeeping team effectively.

• Conduct regular training sessions on cleaning standards, safety, and guest service.

• Prepare staff rosters and monitor productivity.

4. Records & Compliance

• Maintain housekeeping records (checklists, daily reports, deep cleaning schedules).

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.

• Conduct regular inspections and audits of rooms and facilities.

5. Guest Satisfaction

• Address guest requests and complaints promptly.

• Coordinate with the Front Office to ensure rooms are ready as per check-in schedules.

• Strive to enhance guest experience through immaculate upkeep.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Diploma in Hospitality Management preferred.

• Prior hospitality experience is a must (minimum 3 years, with at least 1 year in a supervisory/managerial role).

• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, essentials, chemicals, and equipment.

• Excellent skills in training, people management, and record keeping.

• Eye for detail and passion for maintaining high standards of hygiene.
