Job Title: Housekeeping Executive

Location: Siliguri

Reports To: Motel Manager / Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Executive will be responsible for managing and supervising all housekeeping operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction across rooms, public areas, and facilities of the motel. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to train and motivate the housekeeping team to maintain operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management

  • Supervise daily housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house cleaning.
  • Assign duties and inspect work to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Manage laundry operations, linen inventory, and guest supplies.
  • Ensure timely cleaning and room readiness as per occupancy schedules.
  • Oversee pest control and maintenance coordination for housekeeping areas.

2. Team Management

  • Train, guide, and motivate housekeeping staff to ensure efficiency and service quality.
  • Prepare staff schedules, duty rosters, and manage daily attendance.
  • Conduct regular briefings and performance evaluations of the housekeeping team.
  • Promote teamwork and ensure staff follow company policies and grooming standards.

3. Guest Service & Quality Control

  • Ensure all guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping are handled promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain high hygiene and sanitation standards in all motel areas.
  • Conduct routine inspections of rooms and public spaces for quality assurance.

4. Inventory & Cost Control

  • Maintain adequate stock levels of cleaning materials, guest amenities, and linen.
  • Control wastage and manage the housekeeping budget effectively.
  • Coordinate with vendors for procurement of supplies and laundry services.

5. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct training sessions on cleaning techniques, equipment handling, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain proper documentation for inspections, maintenance requests, and inventory.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s/Diploma in Hotel Management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in housekeeping operations, preferably in the motel or hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping chemicals, equipment, and inventory control.
  • Good understanding of guest service standards and quality management.
