Job Summary:

The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational management of the hotel. Ensuring exceptional guest service, maximizing revenue, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and leading a motivated team are core to this role. The General Manager fosters a positive work environment aligned with the hotel’s brand values and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy:
  • Develop and implement operational policies and strategies to achieve hotel goals.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage all hotel departments to ensure high performance and teamwork.
  • Foster a guest-centric culture focused on delivering exceptional service.
  • Financial Management:
  • Prepare and manage budgets, financial reports, and forecasts.
  • Maximize profitability through effective cost control and revenue enhancement initiatives.
  • Monitor financial performance and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Guest Experience & Service Quality:
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality guest experiences.
  • Handle guest complaints and feedback professionally and promptly.
  • Implement standards and procedures to maintain service excellence.
  • Operations & Facilities Management:
  • Oversee daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance, and security.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and legal regulations.
  • Oversee facility maintenance and upgrade projects.
  • Marketing & Business Development:
  • Develop strategies to increase occupancy and market share.
  • Build relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and other partners.
  • Promote the hotel brand locally and online.
  • Human Resources & Team Development:
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure a competent and motivated team.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Promote a positive work environment and employee engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in hotel management or senior hospitality roles.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L statements.
  • Knowledge of hotel management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve guest issues promptly.
  • Physical ability to inspect the property and oversee daily operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹19,983.75 - ₹45,000.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Rotational shift
  • Weekend availability
