Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Vadodara for a Hospital Billing Head.

The Key responsibilities of the Billing Head will be

1. Supervise and manage the hospital's billing process to ensure accurate and timely billing of patients and third-party payers (TPAs, insurance companies, and corporations).
2. Oversee the entire cash, credit, and insurance billing, as well as ensure the timely submission of bills/ documents.
3. Lead, guide, and manage the billing team.
4. Train and mentor other team members on billing procedures, software and regulatory requirements
5. Conduct Performance reviews and ensure productivity and engagement standards.
6. Collaborate with other hospital departments to streamline patient data and documentation
7. Minimize billing errors, claim rejections and revenue leakages
8. Monitor outstanding dues and support follow-up on receivables
9. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical coding standards, and statutory requirements
10. Maintain documentation for tax and regulatory reporting (GST, TDS, etc.)
11. Work with Hospital information systems and billing software
12. Generate financial MIS reports for billing, collections, outstanding dues, and revenue forecasts
13. Analysis of data and trends: to suggest improvements
14. Coordinating with insurance companies and other creditors
15. Handle patient billing inquiries and discrepancies
16. Developing strategies to improve the billing process and revenue cycle management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or related field
• Certification in medical billing, coding or revenue cycle management is a plus
• Minimum

  7 to 10 years of experience

  in hospital billing (with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role)
• Experience in healthcare billing and revenue cycle management

• Proficiency in handling patient billing inquiries and discrepancies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop and implement effective billing strategies
• Experience with billing software, Microsoft Excel, Tally, and healthcare IT systems.
